Question regarding graphics requirments
« on: August 03, 2009, 11:06:42 PM »
Scuzzy I know this may belong in a different forum but I get faster results here so please leave this one up.

Can you play the game with the S4500HD graphics card?

I don't think that's a video card, the only website I found listing it was in German but it seemed to be an Intel onboard video device.

In that case, you probably won't be able to run detailed terrain but I imagine you'll be able to run the game with everything turned down.

First, you have posted in the wrong forum.  Even you admit that.

What if everyone who had technical support questions followed your lead, and acted so selfishly??  The forum would be a complete mess, with off-topic posts everywhere.

Second, you message is very brief, with very little information in it.  How can you expect any tech support person working at any company to be able to help you out, when you have put such a tiny and minimal effort into providing them relevant information??   Do you believe that tech support folks are clairvoyant, or something??

I would recommend that you:

1) Post in the correct forum

2) Put a little more effort into providing some more detailed information.  That will not be at all difficult to do.

This is the 2nd thread you've posted like this.   This is a borderline correct forum, especially from a gameplay standpoint.   But you shouldn't be so accusatory.

Yes it should play the game.  Its about equal to a Nvidia 7600GS card.  Its the best video that Intel has to offer.  If u want the link to the specs, just ask and I will post them.

The problem with posting in the wrong forum is you could get an answer, but it might not be the right one.

Also note, I do not answer tech support questions in the general forum as I very seldom read that forum.

The only way you'll know for sure is to download/install it and give it a shot.  Can't hurt to try.

Intel GMA X4500HD has a memory throughput of 6.40-8.53 GB/s using DDR2.  With DDR3 it has a memory throughput of 12.80-17.07 GB/s.  Core speed is 800Mhz.  Pixel fill rate is 6400 MPixels/s and a texture filrate of 3200 MTexels/s.  Vertex and pixel shader version is 4.0.  Keep in mind that this onboard video uses system ram (DDR2/DDR3).  You will need alot of ram and if possible, use DDR3 to get the most out of it.  More info on it can be found at the link below.

7600GS specs:

Pixel fill rate is 3200 MPixels/s
Texture fill rate is 4800 MTexels/s
Memory bandwidth is 12.80 GB/s
Vertex and pixel shader version is 3.0
