Trying to download new patch

I cant seem to download the new patch. This is the 4th computer on the never ending mission to play Ah since 2004. Ive went throught the sequence 5 times and each time is closes. When i try to boot into an areana, i get the "must update" screen. Please, my new machine is running vista and ive done everything that I have seen on the boards.

What the heck must I do again  (X2) to make this work.

Still cant get it to work. I moved the folder, ran as administrator, prayed to Jesus.. no dice. Everytime I try to log on, I get the "need to update" screen. I hit the update key and wait for about 30 minutes. Then it just drops to desktop. I try to log again and get the same result. Ive been attempting to run the program in the folder that I moved out of the Program Files. I am by no way computer savy. I need advice in Barney Terms please.

You cannot move the game from one folder to another.  You have to install the game into the folder it will run out of.

Simplest way to correct your problems is to download the full base installation and run it.
