How about Fiat G.55 for the MA?

I think this would be a great cheap perk.

DB605 Engine, 2x12.7mm MGs and 3 20mm Cannon.

Check out some of these cool camo schemes - that orange/green/brown one would be neat to see in the MA!

It wouldnt need to be a perk except perhaps due to the number made.

Yeah, that was my logic, as only, what, maybe 50 or less saw service in WWII.

Not a perk at all. It is slower than a C.205 but a better turner with better handling above 20K. PYRO has the original flight and manteinance manual and more data than he had when he modeled the C.205.

Moreover, adding the DB603 data to his flight model, you could build a very good perk plane, the G.56. Same fuselage, same wings, same armament.

Bring the G.55 (and the perked G.56) to AH!   :)

Why perk it?  Give ITA the SU variant of the La-7.  Mind you it best handles above the operational status of the la7.  Perk this perk that, just give us a 55 and we would be hapy.

Yes I say add the G 55 or the Re. 2005,Their were examples of both that flew in the Regia Aeronautica, not just in the ANR if memorie serves, although I may be mistaken.

Hell, most anything... The only info I have is that graphic, and what I've seen on a few websites.

Performance?
Service record?
Interesting stories?

Hehe Kratzer, then you need to buy at least the "Ali d'Italia" issue about the G.55 and the flight manual as well. The former is english-italian text, the latter italian text only ...     ;)

So is that whole series english/italian?  I had looked at getting that one and the one on the 205, but was concerned they would be in italian only.

Cool... thanks once again gatt!

We've sent sparviero (glock 22) on a secret mission to Italy, and he brought back some stuff with him - including the book that those plates I posted came from.  :)
