First FSO on the new version

Hello
Since this is the First frame with the new patch with upgraded graphics it might be wise to consider a couple of changes for this week.
1.  I'd suggest an extended re-up time for disco's as long as not engaged.
2.  People should show up earlier than usual to allow time for the map to load.
3.  If possible post the map on the SEA ASAP so people can pre-load it.
4.  I don' t know if the server has run the new patch with 4-500 players yet, so a restart plan should be in place if there are problems.

Will pass this along to Daddog.

As soon as the terrain is ready I think they will post it to the SEA so people can start getting it. Will see if there is anything they can do about posting a link to the file also.

Definitely show up early.

As for extended reup time. Probably not .. simply because we can't verify a person has not been in combat or not. But will see what Daddog and Stoney say .. maybe can push it to T+20 instead of T+15.

Has there been more discos due to the update? Have not heard that yet.

Was going to send out an e-mail asking C.O.'s to have players get on early for the download. It will be up in the SEA as soon as it is done. Will restart if needed. Just depends on how far we are into the frame.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

There have been enough people with various issues. That plus the fact that there will probably be more people on one server with the new version than has been tried so far.  Good ole murphy loves things like this and rears his head just when you're not ready for it.  Nothing wrong with being ready just in case.

I don't see us breaking any records as far as attendance Hamltnblue, but I have been wrong before.

I think Waffle finished it today Nef. Now Skuzzy has to do the build. Should be done tomorrow. Crossing my fingers.

Not records on attendance but on this version.
During normal late war server ops you don't have everyone taking off the same time in close proximity of each other.

During the snapshot tonight, 80% of the pilots discoed mid combat all at exactly the same time. That was with 30 people.

They have already run a frame of the Coral Sea scenario, so yes we have had an event with a lot of players on the AH ver 2.14 all launching in a short window. Also they were using the updated terrain for the event (Waffle finished touching up that terrain last week before the frame). That didn't suffer any problems so (fingers crossed) we should have a good chance I say of no problems do to the new version and terrain.

Our entire squad vanished without a trace within 14 minutes of one another over or near A34.  I was the first to go via disco.

14 minutes later the remaining members of the 334th FS vanished without a trace white screen.

I understand many more did also within that timeframe.

One thing unusual happened to me.  When I first entered the game in the SEA I locked up in the tower.
I had clipboard up and the screen froze.  I had to do a hardboot, start my PC again and re-enter the game.

I believe we still have issues with 1.) the new version or 2.) the terrain of this map.
