The F-86, but we have enough pictures in this thread already.

The F-14 Tomcat, the very first airplane I could recognize and one of my first words. Thanks a lot dad!




And then there is the Corsair, the Mig-3, the LaGG-3, a far better plane than that hideous La-5/7, the P-40,

P-39


and the F-15 Eagle. I don't understand how people can like that hideous F-16.

I'd say the P-40, just like the way the lines work with the shark mouth scheme. As far as jets I like the rakish look of the F-4 Phantom

Man there's so many WW2 planes I love. But I'd have to say the Stuka is pretty wicked looking.

Not too sure if thats the fuel leaking.

It looks more like it just got done re-fueling.

Either way, its one of the most impressive planes of the lot.

You're probably right. Actually looks like both. The Blackbird leaked fuel trough the skin at subsonic speeds.

According to a show I was watching about it on the history channel (yeah, I know) fuel leaks until the titanium heats up and expands enough to stop it from doing so, in high speed flight.

Yup, I've heard that too.

But in the case of this photo, I don't believe that the fuel on the surfaces behind the "re-fueling hatch", or on the wings is from fuel seepage.

More than likely its from a little spillage after the disconnect.
