M8 vs M16 somthing is outa wack
« on: November 30, 2001, 12:41:00 AM »
Tonight i went on a 30 pluss kill streak vulching a spawn point S of A14. I was able to kill Panzers and osty with not to much dificulity, by knocking out the engine first thean firing into the side of the tank, this killed them prety fast, it was odd though firing at the rear after the engine was out did nothing or so it seamed, i got consistant kills by firing at the side of the tank.
Now to the M 16 i hit the M 16 several times in the rear and on the side with no apparent effect at point blank range using the top of the range finder point blank range. Nothing happened i put 6 or more rounds into it and they kept on going finaly I used my 30cal coaxal to disable it and or my 50 cal to kill it, this i did about 6 or 7 times. The m 16 should be easer to kill than the panzer with the 37mm AP ammo I was using.

BTW this streak was possable do to NHMihatt resuplying me in a M3, <S> .

An AP round will most likely go right through an M16 or M3 especially at point blank range, try using HE, or firing at the engine.  :D

Agreed here. Punching a small hole in the thin armor doesn't do much damage. There are a small amout of frags to hit the crew with but unless you hit the running gear (engine, tranny, tracks / wheels) or the gun itself it will still be a dangerous criter. Of course hitting the "pilot" will still get ya the insta kill.

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
