White Screen of Death
« on: August 08, 2009, 09:43:18 PM »
I am getting a white screen about 10 or 15 minutes into a mission.  It happened last night at the end of FSO (on final).  It has also happened several time tonight flying with the 71st.  Screen went white just as I got a solution and pulled the trigger.  I was very close in behind when it went white.  I updated my bios, motherboard drivers, and video drivers with no help.  Below is an excerpt from my DXDIAG file if it helps at all.  I would really like some help on this, and if you need my full dxdiag file I can email it to you.  Thanks for your support.

In frame 3 of the Coral Sea 2009 scenario (yesterday, Saturday, Aug. , we had two incidents of mass "white screen of death" crashes.  This resulted in 58 disconnects out of about 160 players.  Usual number of disconnnects for a scenario is about 6-10 for that many players.

These "white screen of death" crashes are not normal disconnects (where the connection is simply lost and the AH front end software complains of lost connectivity), but a crash to a full-screen window that is solid white, followed by a Windows message asking if you want to send an error report.

Also, they didn't happen here and there for people but one crash that happened for about 30 people all at the same time, then later in the frame another crash that happened for about 28 people all at the same time.

What most of us want to do is simply shoot stuff and look good doing it - Chilli
