How come?
USAF has zero interest in me. I'm still a candidate at the Academy, but I know I just don't have the credentials for that kind of thing. AFROTC is, well, rather cold to deal with and the local USAF recruiters are completely uninterested in ANYONE. In fact, they're almost at the point of just turning folks away at the door. I just get the feeling the USAF won't be accepting me as an officer. The United States Navy however is tripping over it's collective self to get hold of me. I get at least 3 phone calls a week, one from NROTC checking in on me, my application, etc., and offering advice; One from Nuclear somethingorother wanting me to become a Nuclear Engineer, and a wild-card call from one of various USN Recruiting commands trying to sell me on the Navy. I'm also holding candidacy at Anapolis, and made it through Summer Seminar there, but I know Im just not what they're looking for either. I would LOVE to fly for the Air Force. Without a doubt they are my first choice. It just doesn't seem to be coming together.
