Cruiser/Destroyer

I've been looking for info on how much ordinance it takes to kill a cruiser or destroyer. Since I'm usually way more interested in shooting down aircraft than blowing up ships, I seem to lack this basic piece of knowledge (but now I have CiC duty for FSO
). A forum search was not very fruitful, but I found this page on the HTC website:
http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/levelbombing/levelbombing.htm
It says 8000lbs of ordinance to kill the "primary ship," which I'm assuming means the carrier, and 2000lbs of ordinance to kill "other ships." Does this imply that it takes the same amount of ordinance to kill a cruiser as it does a destroyer?
Thanks for your help.

Keep in mind those amounts are subject to time. I think they start to repair themselves in 15 minute intervals. Not entirely sure on the time. It's not so much important for the surrounding ships but can be crucial on a flat top.
