Today  Aug 9 I tried to take charge of a CV group and could not.   It would not let me lay way points or change the cv group heading.    I was the only guy trying to use the cv and no one else was in command of said CV.

You were sure no one else was in commend?

Because when you log on into an arena, and someone is already in charge of a TG, he will not be shown to you on the TG command screen. happens in every arena.

I always thought who ever was in command of the cv was listed right next to the cv #

You don't need command of the CV to use it, people with very high pilot rankings will move CVs but not take command of them, acts the same way as if they do have command of them, only you don't know it and you don't see it. We have this problem all the time, people with some of the highest scores will put CVs in "storage" in some god forsaken corner of the map and no one can move it.

Yes he is. Unless the conditions I described above are met, then he's invisible to YOU (alone)

If they have to use their high rank, they will appear on the list because that means they had to take command.

Any player can move CV without taking command, but only if no one has CV command in the first place.
