For me the mg 131 on the A8 is all but useless, likewise the 7.9 on the A5.  I only fire off the cannon rounds so that I can see the hits and decide on how damaged the adversary might be.

Possible combinations of loaduots that were used on FW 190's

4 MG 151/20,   MG 131 removed
2 MG 151 2 Mk 108,  MG 131 removed
6 MG 151,  MG 131 removed
6 MG 131,   MG 151 removed tested and used
2 MG 131 2 Mk 103, MG 151 removed
4 Wgr 21 cm rockets
I also have pics of the D-9 with 4 MG 151, 2 MG 131, and a centerline Mk 103 if needed.

One other note is the Minen Shell used on the MG 131? M Schloss or however you spell it.  It should be there, if not I have sources to prove it was used.  One other note, FW's were notorius for short runs with high weapon load outs like the F we have in here now.  Will additional options be made available for the FW's?

Sturm, can you post pictures of these configurations, data sources and/or copies of the books text?
I've seen also several references to the use of Mk103, but no definitive prove that it was used in combat with some level of regularity. Anyway I've seen some pictures of Mk103 gondolas instaled on 190A8s but dont know if that was a regular field modification or just a device tested on few prototypes.

Anyway, I want to be able to fire Mk108s independently of Mg151/20s in 190, and same for 109G with 108 and gondolaes. Actually, firing Mk108 and 151 at same time is just loosing the Mk108 ammo or the 151 ammo unless you fire at very close range.

The real A8 had two switches to select the weapons to use. Suppose that the normal configuration for 4x151 + 2x131 was to fire 151, 131 or both, but in the case of 2x108 + 2x151 + 2x131 the normal configuration should be to fire 151 and 131, 108 or all weapons at same time. I've saw configurations with 6x151/20, but no idea how works these switches with that configuration.

The engine-mounted Mk 103 was not used in the Fw 190D.

The Mk 103 was fitted in underwing gunpods to some Fw 190 for ground attack purposes, but the installation was not considered very successful and was not generally used.

On September 19 1944 the V53 was taken to Tarnewitz to be tested with engine mounted  Mk 103 cannon.  V53 was the D-9 prototype, I had a friend who past away 2 years ago, that flew the D's, if you would like some more info on these planes let me know.  Field conversions were done to suit the need of the mission.  What came about was a adhoc of planes in units.

According to my informations (Aircraft 7/92) the 30mm engine-mounted cannon was used in D-10 (only 2 planes built), D-12 and D-13. The 2 D-10s were conversions of D-0s with engine-mounted Mk108. No info about the 30mm cannon used in D-12 and D-13, but since the Ta152H used the same cannons, I assume Mk108. If there was an engine-mounted Mk103 in a FW190D, then only in a prototype as you told us, Sturm, not in the series.

No D-9 would have an engine mounted cannon if it used a Jumo 213A, the only D9 that would be able to have an engine mounted cannon would be one with the -E -F series 213 or a DB 603 -E or -L which could accomodate such weaponry, 20mm or 30mm... or even Mk 112 55mm.
