Over the last two weeks, I had the opportunity to fly with some of the hottest sticks in Aces High. These guys were truly a pleasure to fly with, a squad I'll definately re-visit in the future.
I visited none other than 'The Few'. When I say some of the hottest cartoon pilots in-game, I mean it. They are not undefeated in the Squad Dueling League for nothing. Flying with these guys, my K/D ratio got a whole 1.0 better. They are so good, I had a hard time getting kills in because they mop the enemy up so effectively.
I've been on the other end of their fighter sweeps before, so it was a welcome change to fly on their side for a change.
The first morning I logged on,
'The Few' has members from all over the world. It is made up of mostly European players , but there is a wing of American players that go by the name of'The Eagle Aces'. Squadies could be found online whenever I logged on.
I personally love the idea of flying with people from all over the world. Aces High is wonderful in the fact that it brings WW2 aviation geeks from all over the world togeather. Where else would you have the chance to interact with people from the U.K., Finland, Australia, etc? (and many more countries)
My first morning scheduled to fly with the Few,Bruv119 (squad C.O.) taught me how to get set up with ventrilo. He made it easy for someone who isn't computer oriented like myself to figure it out. Soon I was up and flying. I was flying alongside Bruv and mike51. They just looked at the map, found the biggest red darbar, and started fighting.
That night when I got home, I logged on to what Bruv joked and called "The Many". There must have been 10-15 guys on ventrilo. Everyone was in Tank Town both GVing and furballing. This is where I found that getting kills around these guys may be a bit difficult. 'The Few' is definately a well oiled machine.
Having shot everyone down in TT to the point where they stopped upping, 'The Few' decided to fly a fighter sweep to a base that was being swarmed by enemies. We all picked our ride of choice and set off.

Furballing is not the only thing these guys do, however. There are a few die-hard GVers in the squad aswell. One night when there were no ground-battles going, COLLEEN got the squad togeather to run a B-25 raid on an enemy base.
Here's gwurzel. A few minutes after this he was doing loops and barrel rolls in his B-25, someone tell him it isn't a Spit!

I'm really happy I got a chance to know these guys better. I know I'll pop on their ventrilo server and fly with them again.
I'd suggest this squad to anybody. There was not once in these last two weeks when I was bored playing the game. They're a refreshing group to fly with.
As I said in my past squad writeup, I consider these guys squadies of mine ever though my two weeks are up.
cheers guys, thanks for having me,
Buster
