Well, you're running a very low end computer...as of 2 years ago...probably still runs RTS's and RPG's pretty well.

If you have another gig of ram to drop in there, do it...I'm guessing DDR PC2700(?)...not gonna be easy to find for cheap since it's outdated.

I have the same video card you have in a system with a much faster processor (3.0GHz) and I had to "detune" a lot of things to get 60fps...that card barely got 75fps in CoDUO when it first came out....what you could try is this...grab the IObit gamebooster application and use to shut down all uneeded processes especially antivirus and antispyware (you can pick and choose)...set your monitor/video card resolution to 800x600 60Hz...then your game resolution to 800x600 256 textures...in game turn off other players skins, and the water features...have to play around with the other settings.

If you haven't already, see if there is a newer driver for that card...and do a search in these forums for "ati video card" there is something about the ati control panel that needs to be shut off.

I would even venture to say 35-50pfs is EXCELLENT w/ that system.

When the page file space is nearly equal to half the available RAM, I have to wonder how much you have running in the background.  Your computer, when idle should not be using more than 130 to 160MB of page file space.

I have five applications opened right now, and the system is only using 148MB of page space.

So, how do you account for over 400MB of page file space being used?  How many background processes are running?

Overall, you computer is somewhat CPU limited.  This being the case, the number of background processes running will be critical to the overall performance.

Get a faster CPU and better video card and add another 1gb memory. Then you should be able to get 60+ fps. Remember... this is a new graphics engine and relies on more CPU and GPU power. Older PC components will not provide the power needed. Every game evolves or it dies. HiTech Creations wanted to improve the user experience and added an upgraded graphics engine which is good. I know some peeps, including me have a little older PC components, but if you can afford it and want to continue to play this cool game, upgrade a few components for now until you can upgrade more of them. The most important component for playing AH2 now is the CPU... have one that is at least running at 2.5ghz, and get a video card with 512mb DDR3 memory.

I recently spend $150 to upgrade my CPU and am getting 30-50fps better then before! My family plays other games, so the investment was to hopefully last for a year.

Had the exact same problem, I got a few files from HTC to add to my settings folder and it fixed the problem.
But Im also wondering why one of the DXDIAG notes were cancelled before completion... Im a virus hater kinda guy so might suggest a virus unless you can tell me otherwise, this wouls also account for excessive RAM usage.

well in the process im guessing that you took out some files and taking out files tears up your computer, if you haven't defragmented the computer you should
