NVIDIA 6600GT is an 'update'? What did you have before?
The 6600 is the middle-ish range card of the 5 year old GeForce 6 series.

I had similar issues .
I fixed it simply by
Downloading the newest drivers and saving them to my desktop
I deleted the Video card under device manager
I rebooted and then did a fresh install with the drivers
my problem has gone away completley
It seems the update of aces can corrupt the vid drivers and even an update does solve it.

Good luck

Aces High cannot corrupt a video driver.  There is absolutely no way for the game to do so.  The game does not touch anything outside its local installation folder.  We also only make one registry entry.  As far as installs go, this game is about as benign as it gets.

I just installed the 190.38 drivers on my 7600GT card.  No problem.  If you do not remove the old drivers before installing new ones, then that could cause all manner of problems.  I also installed the 190.38 drivers on HiTech's computer (9800GTX) and it seems fine as well.

If I'm understanding you correctly, an error message suggested that the problem was related to your video card? Did the error appear while opening Internet Explorer, Firefox, or any other web-browser?

Gravy, Skuzzy has hit the nail on the head. You will need to roll back your video driver, uninstall it and install the latest nVidia driver set. Latest drivers for nVidia have been working well for many others. This should fix your problem. If it doesn't, then you may need to use your last driver instead. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure the guy who put together the installer would know what it does...

Go to Start>(Settings>)Control Panel. Now go to Add/Remove Programs. Find the entry for NVIDIA Video Driver (or something similar) and remove it. Afterward download the latest drivers for your video card and install them. See if that resolves the issue.

Try the 66.93 driver, it was the only one that worked well on my old 6800gt. don't worry about uninstalling anything, just download and install.
