Well, only 3 of the JG54 could make it. The Few won 4-1 if that matters.

how many of you were there? and who made it there?

There were about 8-10 players from The Few ready to strap in and get the job done, but I think Bruv let the new recruits get a taste of SDL action.

Fugitive, I didn't bother playing, I just read the news on The Few's BBS. Bruv said he "didn't bother filiming".

I was a little disappointed to only have to fight 3 but those of JG54 who did show up and fight, fought well and with good grace.

Round 1   Spit 1's

I was watching from god mode and viper, sveno and drbone stepped up against oscealo, jaeger1 and tankman2.  It ended up more like 3 separate 1 vs 1's than a squad fight, with bone and oscealo going at it.  Bone ended up death spinning his spit 1 and viper had a drawn out turn fight all the way to deck and ended up hitting a tree  :D.   Round JG54

Round 2 Spit 9's

I jumped in with viper and Bone. The spit 9 is very much my favourite aircraft and I shot down all 3 after some sexy reversals.  Bone took hits but they were all down when he ditched.  Round The Few

Round 3  FW190 A5's

This merge was pretty tough.  Everyone apart from bone managed to go up in a twisty turning climb.  I just had enough E to not get killed and get them occupied.  I singled out oscealo as the nearest thing to kill and he went evasive.  I stayed with him in the dive spraying and a stray 20mm round must have hit his pilot from 400+.  This made it easy for me to switch onto the guy looking at killing viper for a quick 2nd kill.  The third player I believe ended up down to drbone. Round The Few

Round 4  P51B

Another good round neither side had the advantage and I remember being all over one of them jinking and evading.  Bone came across and slammed the guy I was fighting, whilst i took hits and lost an aileron and fuel leak.  The guy who hit me sailed past though and let me saddle up and kill him after some more jinking.  Round The Few

Round 5 109 F4

I sat out this round and Bone just went kill crazy and got all three of them.  Viper and sveno drew them around whilst bone was doing all the killing.  Round The Few

This exercise was not about defeating JG54 in a shameful manner we have alot of fun with the Squad Dueling league and when I saw Jaeger's open challenge for a squad type fight I jumped at it.  We enjoyed the fights as did the JG54.  The only thing that sucked about it was not having the number of guys specified in the challenge.

Either way we had fun and i'm sure we can do it again sometime or maybe if JG54 wish to join the SDL  ;)

 :salute

See what I mean jaeger.

Everyone wanted to see a fight after the OP challenge.  Win or lose there is no shame in taking part.  As it happened 3 guys showed up and they did their squad proud.  Can't speak for those that stayed away or had R/L to contend with.

Close Bruv but I had that one, my gunnery was awful last night tho, missed several easy shots. 3 weeks of only flying the K4 messes with your head  ;) :lol

<S> to the JG54 guys that showed up, I had a disco at the end of the 109F round and wasnt able to salute you guys ingame before you logged.

Sunday afternoon is not the best time for most of us who have children involved in sports...

And Storch doesn't have children involved in sports for those that still don't have a clue.

and i try to correct it in mw too. i'm getting better at dodging it. it still sucks though that some think that's what they have to do to win a fight.

i could use you as an example. i've fought with and against you. you don't need to do that to win a fight, yet you do? why? you're more than good enough to create almost any shot you want on 80% of the guys in there, yet you take the easy way out.

that's the only time they really bother me. when it's a noob, i just try to educate him.

Well one things for sure and that a lot of Satins Playmates have started flying the Hurri and the HO is always expected from them. There are a couple  that don't but the weaker players do everytime and all the time, without exception  and The majority of SP's squaddies are mediocre to weak players. They play well as a big horde but alone most of their weaknesses are exposed. Even when they as most nights have everybody out numbered they still feel the need to Ho and when you say something about it they all pipe up with the " A whines been recorded" If you hate the HO that much Cap then I would suggest to move to another unit and avoid the guilty by association  accusations. Just a thought........
