Gunner compression glitch
« on: August 15, 2009, 01:30:37 AM »
ok, this is one i thought that would be fixed since 2.14 patch1, when in gunner mode in ALL bombers, moving the gunner movement too quickly messes up the flight controls and acts like compression and it's reall frustation especially whem you're TBM and you need to pull out and all of  a sudden you ran into a hanger, Mt, Etc....

First things first.
Quote
Period [.]
1. Use a period to show the end of a sentence.

Hockey is a popular sport in Canada.
The federal government is based in Ottawa.

2. Use a period after certain abbreviations.

B.C. is the province located on the West Coast.
Dr. Bethune was a Canadian who worked in China.
The company is located at 888 Bay St. in Toronto.
It is 4:00 p.m. in Halifax right now.

Comma [,]
1. Use a comma to show a pause in a sentence.

Therefore, we should write a letter to the prime minister.

2. Use a comma with quotation marks to show what someone has said directly.

"I can come today," she said, "but not tomorrow."

3. Use commas for listing three or more different things.

Ontario, Quebec, and B.C. are the three biggest provinces.

4. Use commas around relative clauses that add extra information to a sentence.

Emily Carr, who was born in 1871, was a great painter.

If this is beyond you, have the common decency of copying what you type and paste it into a WORD document (if you don't have Microsoft Office you can download OpenOffice for free) and do a Spell and Grammar check.  Then cut/paste it back into the forum.  Takes all of 30 seconds and EVERYBODY that reads your posts will thank you.

OK... on to your post.

When in a gunner position you can use RUDDER to change your planes direction.  If you are jerking your flight controller too fast you are probably engaging rudder.  I would add some DEADBAND to your rudder in the Controll Setup to prevent this from happening.

You 100% lost me with your TBM analogy.  If you are in a dive and jump into the gun position the plane will auto level.

IF you are talking about diving and when you try to pull up you get a "Do Not Move Your Controls so Rapidly" message then you simple have to add some Deadband and Dampening to your X and Y axis in the Control setup.

I will say it.

Give up on correcting the grammar problems. Look around you and you will see your task would be overwhelming and most of us dont bother trying. Besides it makes you look goofy.  :D

What KILLS me is with a spell check built in to this forum, and how easy it is to check a post (like I suggested) with Word or a similar program, it takes almost no effort to make a legible post.

I saw something on T.V. today that stated in the 1950's the average teenager had a vocabulary of @ 50,000 words.  Today the average teen has a vocabulary of @ 10,000 words.

And yet none of that information is of much use to codemant.

Codemant I dont have that issue. Could your rudder be set off center or autopilot not holding for some reason?

Worthless info.

I am so ashamed.

Lord knows if his stick is out of cal or the autopilot is kicking off because his joystick isn't setup correctly, what I advised would be of no help at all.

oh wait.........

you guys are not getting it, it's not the rudder, it's the gunner(the dude that shoots duhhh), when moving the freakin' Gunner too fast it makes compression happen, the freakin' rudder control is not the problems... man, ppl these days

Hey, I understand why you're pissed off, but in this forums being angry won't get you anywhere.  As for what they said about the grammar, yes you should make an effort to use proper grammar/spelling etc, even if they could have put it a bit more nicely.

RE your post:  What do you mean by compression?
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Not entirely true, if I remember correctly they only recognized words found in the dictionary and ignored abbreviations and such. Heck, Aces High probably has about 500 abbreviations alone. Can you imagine what the guys at HTC have to know, all the abbreviations and all the 'coading' language as well.

The english language is changing, it was vastly different from the 20th century compared to the 19th century. Some of the letters written by Civil War soldiers are like poetry, filled with dramatic phrases and contrast starkly compared to the letters written by soldiers from WWII or even WWI.

Back to the other topic...

I'm not sure what is causing your issue, Codemant, but I'd check the Aces High control panel for any stick spiking. I can walk you through it if you do not know how...

Seriously?

The guy has a problem in the BUG REPORTS section and you want to hijack his thread with juvenile grammar corrections?

Not to mention I always love then the spelling/grammar police show up and cant type themselves.

Might want to check your posts, you made a few mistakes that you should make you ashamed to own a computer apparently.

hang on I think ive got it - rapidly moving stick in gunner position causes the "dont move your stick so rapidly" thing, then switch to pilot seat, take off autopilot and you have no control over the aircraft, kind of like high speed compression.

is this what you mean?
