Withdrawls
« on: August 16, 2009, 10:37:42 PM »
How do you deal with your withdrawls? These are my top ten symptoms:
 1. While at work I think of AHII
 2. While at work I read and post on the forums
 3. While at work I watch the Military channel or the History channel
 4. While at work I google AHII related material
 5. When I want to end a telephone call with the wife I start ranting and raving to her about how I landed 5 kills - making me an ACE!
 6. While driving I often try to zoom in on distance signs or objects
 7. I am at work right now, 11 hours left out of a 24 hour shift and I will still play for a while when I get home at 0800
 8. While at work I "window shop" for new gear
 9. When I see Billy Mays on tv it reminds me AHII - Thanks Stodd!
 10. I stop and talk to anyone wearing a WWII Veteran hat, anywhere, anytime, and just listen to them for as long as they have time to talk

I know how u feel man I am at work also, but I am stuck in the office tonight instead of patrolling. It does get boring. I am on a state comp and for some reason they dont' block any sites lol. They do monitor them though.

I have these 24+ hour shifts about 4 times a month and they really wear me down. Sleeping is not allowed while on shift. I have to do all I can to stay awake. Anyone that has been in the Army knows what I am talking about. I am in TRADOC right now and we are at 50% manning, which is why I have CQ so often. This form of sleep deprivation is enough to make a person go insane.

Everything except 5, 7 and 9. Otherwise I'm hooked.

Ugh... CQ. I have tried not to put those two letters together for four years now! That is one thing I don't miss about active duty. I feel your pain sir, I always tried to look forward to when people came crashing through the doors stumbling drunk and forgetting where their room was the highlight of my evening. Although I had managed to do that myself once or twice :uhoh.

Where are you stationed at?

I'm cruising the BBS thru my cellphone. Spend most of the day trying to kill the time.
