1. Few tanks in AH2 can challenge a Tiger head on, they must try to literally swing around it and hit from behind. The JS-2 would eclearly not have to.

Its obvious you didn't fly in Dawn of Battle. Sherman Firefly is more than capable against the Tiger.

I love to hear what they say, so long as it reasonable, which is why I disagree with you.  Not dark enough to use a night fighter.  Supporting reasons to have a JS-2:

1. Few tanks in AH2 can challenge a Tiger head on, they must try to literally swing around it and hit from behind. The JS-2 would eclearly not have to.
I guess you haven't taken a Firefly up against a Tiger? Even in a lesser GV, tactics always win. The Tigers slower reload and turret speed make an easy kill for the much faster T-34s and Panzers
2. It would be the ultimate ambush weapon :)
how often do you ambush? From your stats, this tour you've only killed in gvs twice, one ostie and one kill in the T-34/85.
3.  Base camping would be...quicker.
Base camping, quicker?

"...you've never flown at night in AH have you? trust me its pretty dam dark."

and everyone has awacs radar and the night sky filled with nice, bright  icons
scream "yoo hoo, here I am!" Icons for you, icons for everyone.

Want a night fighter? Take up an A-20 or, as was noted already, the Mossie.
They were used as night fighter in WWII. Perhaps try out a P-38"M" by going
up with a ctr line bomb on it or F6F with a wing bomb hanging (imo the bombs
would mimic the weight and  drag of the radar equip) and see how you do in
an AH arena - even at "night."

We have the C model 51 already.

The B and C model are identical, except the B was built Inglewood, California and the C in Dallas, Texas.

Good bait...

The reason I barely ambush, or use GVs a lot for that matter is because we lack the JS-2.

Never heard of a plane being made strictly for weekly scenarios.

Never heard of a plane being made strictly for weekly scenarios.

No plane is ever made JUST for the scenarios and FSO. And guaranteed on virtue of sheer firepower alone the P-61 will see usage on the Mains. The B-25H on paper is a hangar queen. She's slow, has poor rate of climb and altitude performance, not very maneuverable, only about average in defensive fire coverage, near the bottom of the multi-engine bomber pile when it comes to ordinance loadout. If you look at the balance of her stats, this is a plane that would gain very little use in the Mains and would seem relegated to scenario play.

And yet the B-25H has developed a VERY loyal following and sees a healthy amount of usage. Why? Because she packs one MASSIVE gun. The 75mm makes the B-25H one of the premier close air support aircraft in the game, second to only the 37mm on the Il-2. She can de-ack a field without subjecting herself to return fire--and if you're REALLY good with it you can do the same with Wirbleweasle turrets--and single-ping tanks if you know where to aim.

The P-61 may not have that much firepower, but you still have a LETHAL cone of fire from the 4 20mm and 4 .50cal. This would make her a strafer at LEAST on par with the 110G-2 for town busting, if not outright superior. Certainly, the G-2 will only surpass that strafing capability with the 4x20mm and 2x30mm package, but she sacrifices much of her ordinance to do so (with the full gun package she can only carry 400lbs of ordinance. Taking the two 1000lb bombs eliminates one pair of 20mm). The P-61 carries nearly TRIPLE that, without sacrificing her gun package. Then of course factor in that these are HISPANOS.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

P-39, B-25C? Filled holes in the planeset for events, hangar queens in the MAs. He111 and Do17 would be the same.
