The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, or the one Public Relations Officer that wants it changed................ :D

This isn't something being forced upon people, their inter squad interactions will be exactly the same as normal unless the CO chooses for it to change.

Again, I don't see how what happens in another squad effects anyone else.

This last thing here sir............  You are requesting a "wish."  So in essence, it affects everybody.  The 21 of you, versus the other 5000 people that subscribe.

You can't get in game, happens to all of us......BUT seriously......  Today is the 19th of Aug.  You haven't flown this tour?  You're a kid with the summer off?  Getting ready for college?  Think you'll have time to play then?

Perhaps it might be time to rethink your position in the squad....  You should be more concerned with hitting the books......  And even if your 2 hands still work, at college, you'll come to see the world differently.  Even you will score!!!   :salute  (That was you that said that right?)

I'm a wiseguy on the forums most of the time, but let me end by saying I have the utmost respect for you Headhunters.  Plenty of, not only great sticks, but fine gentlemen.  And I'd hope that none of you mind too much the fact that I can't help but stir the drink.

LLogann, it affects everybody inasmuch as it offers all COs the option to grant CO powers to someone in the squad.  Before anything runs amok, the COs would have to give CO powers.. No different from now with simple invite/eject/rename privs.

Thanks for the compliments.

However I'm still having some trouble how who has what powers in my squad has to do with who has what power in any one elses squad.

I haven't flown this tour, school started the 5th, I am more concerned with hitting the books... hence my not playing.  Won't ship off to college for another two years.

I'm really flabbergasted here.  So I guess I will use a question and answer format...

Does the CO have to use this power?
No

Do you have to use this power?
No

Does your squad's distribution of power have anything to do with mine?
No

Does mine with yours?
No

This can only be an issue if people make it an issue.

As for my position of "CO" I would happily disband and reform if everyone was on frequently enough to ensure everyone who is in the squad now would quickly be returned.  The last time it took awhile.

I should also say, that I argue here, against it, from a psuedo-HTC side of things.... The thing about what you both are talking about makes perfect sense to me.  By default set it to the NO/OFF position....  Muppets & Headhunters (and many other squad's as well.... Just an example) aside, how many people will constantly be bothering the staff because they screwed this up or screwed that up.  Young people making bad choices, next thing you know the bad person ejects the entire squad before he announces quitting on Channel.  Now you have 35 CO's a week sending in "fix" requests that HTC will have to respond to.

Personally, I think it would be a great idea.  We would like that too, as I hope I am speaking correctly for DCCBOSS.  I'd bet money on the fact that nobody in the 80th would abuse it.  But the bottom line for me and my negativity is in the idea of tying up valuable resources for something that is foolish and only done by noobs, dweebs and tards...... Yet we would all suffer from it the same.

Before anything runs amok, the COs would have to give CO powers..

It doesn't affect you or anyone outside of the squadron.  He is asking for a feature that will allow squadron commanders to grant these abilities to those they choose to.  If your CO doesn't want anyone to have these abilities then you don't get them.  It's as simple as that and I fail to see how this would negatively affect the community as a whole.

You must have hit reply despite the "there has been a reply" warning.

You must be drunk or retarded.  Hopefully it's the former as I don't want to be making fun of special people.

I'm neither which is probably why I can't understand your 'logic'.

This has no bearing in reality. What would you be sending requests to HTC to 'fix'? Do people send requests to HTC to 'fix' invites/ejections that already take place?
I mean, this is just a silly point. You act as if people just give out privs with no thought... maybe they do in RT and most squads, I don't know, I haven't been in many... however I have to think that most people consider the possible consequences before doing something like that.

" Now you have 35 CO's a week sending in "fix" requests that HTC will have to respond to.  "
If you were stupid enough to give that many priveledges to someone untrustworthy.... anyway, what would HTC even have to 'fix'? All that happens is you have to re-invite all of the members of the squad.
That's a ridiculous point anyway because you can already grant eject privs and I never see this happening.

You really overestimate the intelligence of the gaming community that much do you?  Foolish boy.

Might be 45 per week.

I could have sworn I've done it before - and I'm not the CO.  Maybe it was before the latest release, or I was "impaired" at the time.
