Was defending at A7 against insuperable odds- that's cool, nobody forced me to. Was determined to make the Knights close the hangars before they could capture. Got strafed over and over, no biggie. I finally managed to bag someone (he was coming right at my nose as I lifted off) and he made a joke that I didn't see as a joke at first (called me an HO dweeb).
Sorry I was a little sensitive on that one... it seems like I fight the long odds a lot, and when I get someone who is vultching me mercilessly I find it odd to be harrassed about any effort I'm making to defend. (Saw, you didn't mean it that way, I know.
)
Being basically a loner, I get into multiple against me a lot, and I typically don't complain. My mood was changed by the comment, and I should have logged then. Believe it or not, I was having fun. I don't even mind giving up the vultch to a side that is trying for the field. If all a side wants is to vultch, well.... I have better things to do.
I don't fault the Knights for making a mass attack- that was smart. We were foolish to ignore the threat to our HQ.
