I really like the movie, Serenity. Easily in my top-five sci-fi movies. As for Firefly, meh. I didn't care for the campy space western schtick.

ew. 15 years old using 'orgasmic' makes me want to hurl oatmeal chunks.

Excuse me? :huh I'm turning 19 in a few days, she was on the latter edge of 17...

I love the whole thing. My last girlfriebd was almost orgasmic over it. I showed her one of the collectables and she SCREAMED.

I've got the boxed set (14 episodes), the collector's edition movie, the travel posters for the various planets, a poster with visuals of each planet in the 'Verse, replica money from the movie, two of the t-shirts, and the extremely detailed book of blueprints of the ship.

Rofl... the only time I saw someone wearing a Serenity shirt, that was ALL she was wearing!

Okay...

Sorry, spiked a memory there. It seems there is a connection with women and Serenity t-shirts...

Maybe that's what the appeal was.

Not very politically correct and "educational" either. The captain had no problem to shoot a guy dead when he had not time for negotiations, or kick a captive that was threatening "I will hunt you down bla bla bla" into the ship's engine. The "correct" way to do this in Holywood is to let the guy go, wait till he surprisingly reach for his gun and then kill him. It was also quite sexually permissive: The mechanic chick was recruited after screwing the previous mechanic on the engine. Their "companion" is a 1000 dollars a night geisha potato.

Its been a while so I dont remember which were the deleted 4, but one of them was when a bounty hunter boards Serenity in search of River, and she REALLY screws with his head and everyone else on the ship.

Objects in Space, great episode, great new character (Jubal Early).
Simon: Are you Alliance?
Jubal Early: Am I a lion?
Simon: What?
Jubal Early: I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well though, I have a mighty roar.
Simon: I said "Alliance."
Jubal Early: Oh, I thought...
Simon: No, I was...
Jubal Early: That's weird.

+1

I liked Firefly.. Pretty good show and too bad it got cancelled, but Battlestar Galactica was way better IMO in terms of scifi shows..  :rock
