if i am driving fast and someone comes up behind me i let them pass, that way if there is a cop ahead he will catch them not me, they are my rabbit to spring the trap.

me?

i cruise at the same speeds i did 25 years ago.......between 75 and 80mph. back then, i was passing 90% of the traffic. now 70% or so are passing me when i'm at those speeds.

and yes, i am a good driver. i know exactly what my car can and cannot do, and in most conditions. i've become good at predicting other drivers...which has helped me avoid numerous accidents.

i've had no moving violations since i was 22 years old. i'm 47 now.

i've had no accidents that were in any way my fault since i was 20.
the one i did have was the lady that crossed the center line and nailed me head on, totaling my mustang. i almost managed to make her miss..........but i wasn't quite quick enough that time.
both insurance companies placed 100% blame on her.

if it's a 3 lane interstate, i never ride the left lane. i like the extra options of bing in the middle lane. it also seems to me that state troopers are less likely to notice me in the middle, as opposed to the left.

on the other hand...........the dude was just a tard. if i'm coming up on slower moving traffic, and they haven't moved by the time i'm within 5 cars of em, i'm already in the next lane going by em.

I used to brake check them ... Although that usually will insite roadrage to some degree
I have found it more amusing to give them a good dousing of windshield wiper fluid.
innoncent enough and usually gets them to back off.

You want bad drivers... come to Columbia SC.... Thats where there are bad drivers!
Example:
I am going through an intersection downtown, there are 3 lanes. One designated left turn only, 1 straight only, 1 right/straight.
I am in the middle lane, a truck in the left lane decides he wants to turn right... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. He starts pulling right and I lay on the horn so he doesn't hit me, he stops completely then turns left.
No one in this state knows how to use a turn signal! And when they remember to use it, they forget to turn it off!
The other day I was driving and 2 cars in the right lane have their turn signal on. They have a car between them, and since I am in the left lane I am able to see both of them. They drive like that for 15 minutes.

I will stop before I REALLY start venting about drivers down here.

Two things really give me the chits on the road;

1) People who seem to be able to manage only one speed. The can't seem to manage 80km/h in an 80 zone.... So I have to overtake, if I can, and extend a gesture of my frustration. THEN, a kilometre further down, the speed limit drops to 60 and they fly on by.

2) People who take a lifetime to get up to the speed limit (probably because they're tight-fisted cheap-skates even with their stupid little lawnmower cars) and then just keep on going right past the limit. Not only are you an annoying cheapa**, you're breaking the law. Some of snotty little matchbox car drivers have the hide to look at me like I'm the a-hole because I don't take a week to get to the speed limit.

I have a long list of annoyances, so I might add more later....

want annoying?

try getting behind the nutball that actually puts on the brakes on the on-ramp to the interstate.

i had a guy actually STOPPED at the bottom of the ramp. so here he is in hischevy tahoe with a 6 cylinder, and me in my geo, that does 0 to 60 in the time it takes to eat dinner......trying to merge traffic passing us at 75mph, and we're doing it from a stand still.

Just did. Passing Porsche and Corvette on the straight line in the Probe doesn't make you good,it makes them terrible.

I hate the people that wait until the last 10 feet to merge lanes on the highway when there have been signs that the lane ends for 2 miles. They think they're so smart waiting and passing everyone in line until I don't let them merge in :) . Same thing goes for people who use the left or right turn only lanes to pass by the line of cars going straight. I had one jerk try to get by me doing this but my 5.4 V8 got me ahead of him so he got POed and started honking and flipped me off. I laughed and intentionally drove  20 in a 40.

Another thing I hate is people who cant pick a freaking lane in stop and go traffic. They slow down the flow more by changing lanes every 30 feet.

People who slow down to look at crashes on the other side of the road really grind my gears.  Last year i was driving back to college in maine on in a heavy rain/sleet/snow mix. I was doing 35 in a 65 due to the weather and most people were going a bit faster than me (45 at max). I saw some cars collide on the other side of the median out of the corner of my eye. apparently the moron Rhode Islander (statistically the worst drivers in the US) in front of me saw it too and slammed on the brakes almost stopping in the middle of the road. Luckily I left an enormous space between our cars and was barely able to slow down enough to aviid this idiot after skidding through the slush for a very long distance.

And one more note...

PUT DOWN THE FREAKING CELL PHONE WHILE YOU DRIVE

Guys try what tokenjo said if you squirt them with winsheild wiper fluid they usually do back off.  If not slow down wayyyyy slow then when they go to pass speed up, rinse and repeat.  If this really angers them flash an uzi out the window and let them know whos boss
