Guys... before you go off on HTC in public... send your issues to them either via email, or just give them the facts here.  No need to accuse anyone of catering only to the elite.  I have been playing online games long enough to know, that sometimes you fix one thing, and unintentionally break something else.  

If it worked fine for you before, and its broken now... they will fix it.  They didnt do it on purpose.  Relax... be civil and patient and you will get your issue addressed.

So I think everyone who pays to play also pays for the ability to post a complaint about a service they are paying for.  However, since I dont have a problem with the game I really dont care. What i do know is there is a place to post this type of opinion and maybe the "Technical Issues" blog would have been a better place for this. Everyones first thought is "Well I'm just gonna quit!" and everyone else knows that won't happen simple because you are caught in a hypnotic trance that forces you to log in and die everyday. Work with the system and not against it and more good things will arrive from it faster.

People are still having issues with your product. You may not hear about it because in these forums they tend to fall on deaf ears, and receive ridicule from those that are not effected by these updates, but let me assure you that we still exist.

Most people could run the game fine in Patch 6. Patch 7 was an attempt to optimize it even further, for those that are still having frame rate issues. In Patch 7 they even added a new polling feature to help make considerations for some players hardware. That's the exact opposite of what you're suggesting.

If you think the people who can run terrain in high detail mode are 'the elite few', then you're sadly mistaken. If 25% of the player base can't run high detail mode I'd be pretty surprised.

HTC; I love your game.  That's why through this whole update ordeal I have stayed true to it.  Tweaking and modifying settings so that I could continue enjoying this game.  Finally everything was ok.  The stuttering had stopped and the low frame rate issues were resolved, life was good (Not great, but good).  And then today came!!!!!  A new patch......

Now I can't land because the stuttering is so bad.  I can't have bum map on becuase it destroys my frame rate, even though I always Used to play with it on in patch 6.  Your patch to improve the game is making ppls games worse!  Everyone that plays the game that I know (Rook)  is having count issues with their frame rate.  And god forbid we cross from the ocean to the land in a 20+ plane fight because the game just locks up from the useless ocean bumps, that serve no purpose.

Probably would have been better off raising the stakes on the minimum system requirements...all these squawking computer noobs with the ancient computers would have actually had something to squeak about.

I wonder what the OP is talking about.  Bottom end machine here (older laptop), no stutters, no freezes, FPS running around 35 (a full 10 higher than the old version).

Was online for 20 minutes and got into several evenly matched furballs (which I got slaughtered in, still fun though)

Just because you can doesn't mean you should, or that you shouldn't consider in what manner you go about it.  Moreover just because you are free to say what you will doesn't remove you from having to deal with or live with the consequences of that decision. 

You know if you would have come to the BBS and posted your problems in a polite and respectful manner there would be numerous people who would have gone above and beyond to try and solve your problems, but alas you chose to handle it in a much poorer fashion.
