I remember about a 2 years back when a squeaker had to bail out over water about 10 miles from land and he asked all of us in range how to get back to the tower. Norad told him to wait until the search and rescue chopper came to pick him up. I think I landed and re-upped about 4 different times and went back over the water and he was STILL there. After about 45 minutes he finally gave up any hope of being rescued.
About 2 months ago I conducted a "rescue mission" for a squeaker that bailed out over the water.
I upped a goon and belly landed it next to him, after dropping my "PJ's" to save him

. He swam over and was yelling about "SHARKS!" and tried to get inside my fuselage. I had one of my squadies come out and meet us in an LVT to make the whole rescuing thing look real. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
