I have made LOTS of strafing runs on the osty with the George,unless u hit the open top I don't think it's possible.
The ammo that the George fired was all,HE/HEI(I am pretty sure on this,I spoke with a man by the name of Ted Bradstreet on the phone last winter and he told me this,the Japanese idea behind aircraft armament and it's ammo was that it was to "kill the Plane" the best way they felt to do this was to blow off chunks of it,so their ammo load out was largely HE/HEI,hardly any AP(if any at all) was carried.)
But I have killed several of the Buggers (and panzers to)by dropping the 250kg bombs on them.
I also will strafe a tank if I know that a allied tank is engaging it, I don't think I will kill it but I will help my team mate by driving the enemy NUTS.

BTW: Mr.Bradstreat is a Historian and considered to be a expert on these maters,I was referred to him by the director of aircraft armament at the airforce museum in Dayton Ohio.
