Got a case of the gremlins
« on: September 08, 2009, 09:23:23 AM »
Ok, I have a couple of issues I suspect are linked. I may have to put it in a couple of posts, so thanks for reading.

Whenever I log on AH seems to change my vox settings with my cyber snipa headset

This button keeps getting disabled, making my vox real scratchy and it only happens with AH, not with any other game. I can be heard well on ventrilo until I boot the game, then I go scratchy again.

The second problem stems from the first, I get serious rubber bullet issues whenever vox starts acting up. Its like the 2 are tied somehow. I dont have a screen shot, but in 1 example I blasted a spit16 going low and slow from 100 yards out in my A8, got no visible damage from 50-60 20mm cannon rounds. This stuff can happen all night sometimes.

I also have norton info flickering in and out in the lower right of the screen, even when its running in silent mode. I've been advised to get a soundcard, though i've never really needed one. Also advised to ditch norton, but it had served me well these past years.
Any advice is welcome

Eset ditch Norton if your gonna pay for it then get the best...................... :O
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

You should ditch Norton regardless. I would try uninstalling (not disabling, uninstalling) it and see if the computer still lags after a reboot.
