Yeah please dont have to remind me of this.  With Hampton out for the year this is not looking good for Iowa.  They have the O-line they just need a running back to hit the hole.

WOW, a whole season Blount is out with a suspension.  A bit to hard of a punishment.

Personally, they should suspend him for half of the season, both Blount and Hout sit side by side and make a public appoligy to each other for there stupid action.

I disagree. There is a lot of trash talking that goes on before, during and after the game. Its an unfortunate part of the game, but it is part of the game (especially when one person has been giving the other team bulletin-board motivational material for the locker room for a week or so leading up to the game by running off at the mouth.

Throwing a punch after the game at a guy who has removed his helmet? Totally inexcusable, NOT part of the game, and IMHO the BEST way the powers that be can send a message that this type of behavior WILL NOT be accepted is to come down like a load of bricks. Just as they did.

I don't think he would've been suspended if he didn't hit one of his own players, then get into it with the fans.

and Iowa slips away.  :lol

Reaper90, your right.  football players are train to hit hard, be aggressive and contently get into fight with each other.  Some just forget where it can only be used.
As far as what happen to Blount, was up to the coach on what punishment is best.  If it was, oh i don't know, Texas, that did that.  I wouldn't pass it the Mack will only suspended his player for one or two games.

lol My Daughter has always liked UT. The problem is they only have 1 semi of meteorology. At A&M she can work all the way to a PHD in meteorology. A&M is one of the top 3 universities in the country for meteorology.

I almost went to Colorado State to Major in Meteorology back in the Fall of 1991.   A&M is a good one too for that Major and I wish her the best.

Oh ya btw.  GO VOLS!!!!!!!

Shuffler - you should go to the A&M / UT game at Kyle Field...it's a hoot - great stadium to see a game.

went to the game in austin a couple of years ago. Aggies won, game wasnt much on excitement, but just being there was something. I grew up an Aggie Fan, Grandad was Aggie, Grandma was Teasipper, Dads a UT fan Step mom is an Aggie. Thanksgivings were fun. But my little brother ended up going to UT so I kind of switched my allegience. I was an 11 year freshman at a local community college (redshirt? ;) ) so I can jump bandwagons at will.

I agree, unfortunately, the lesson will be lost on some. And it will happen again. Remember the Miami game a few seasons back?

GEAUX!!!

“There was some misinformation on ESPN and I think it’s imperative that I straighten it out. I am the head coach at LSU. I will be the head coach at LSU. I have no interest in talking to anybody else. I’ve got a championship game to play, and I am excited about the opportunity of my damn strong football team to play in it. That’s really all I’d like to say. It was unfortunate that I had to address my team with this information this morning. With that being done, I think we’d be ready to play. There will be no questions for me. I represent me in this issue. Please ask me after. I’m busy. Thank you very much. Have a great day.”
