Why not the Rhino tank
« on: September 06, 2009, 09:46:11 PM »
it is a perfect fit in early war because it was made before the Sherman i think it would be fun to fight T34 vs Rhino tank i think it would be a great american tank for the game being that we only have one

Ummm.   No.   "Rhino tanks" were Sherman's or M5's fitted with "tusks" designed to flatten "hedgerows" after D-Day.   So where does the "Early War" thing fit in again?

We already have the Tiger, which has more armor.

Different guns?
It is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end, but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Tiger I had a Kwk 36 L/56
Tiger II had a Kwk 43 L/71
The Nashorn had the longer gun used on the Tiger II.

Okay, first of all. The thread is about a modified M5, not a German Tiger. Second, Masher stated they both had 88mm, correct. Third, thread is dead, we already have a Tiger.

Fourth,LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS!

...and they are both 88mm main guns.   Not to mention again, that the OP had NOTHING to do with the Nashorn and/or it's 88mm main gun.

The OP mentions "Early War" when in fact, the "Rhino tank" was Mid June 44.    :aok

I don't think I've ever heard of an M-5 being called a rhino.

You mean M3's? I know the M3 stuart light tank were sometimes outfited with "tusks" as you say, welded to their chassis, again, as you say, for flattening hedgerows. And if that is what you are talking about, then you should know that the M3's had a 37mm cannon if I am correct, and would probably be about the same as our scout car. So if the 37mm on our armored car can kill the tanks in the game from infront then OK.
