Because I am far more intelligent than you are and able to conduct research, something that you apparently find difficult to do. Second, if you are prepared to suggest something then you should also be prepared for counter-arguments and then be able to counter those arguments without resorting to what basically amounts to a 5 year old temper tantrum.
Now, back to your orginal argument for adding the APDS round and why it should not be added to the game.
First off, like I mentioned in my earlier post, it was a rare ammo type used. The first demonstration of the round when US and British watched a live fire demonstration in August of 1944 (Isigny trials) against captured Panther tanks. Early batches were considered sub-standard and their performance was better on paper than real life and compared to the APCBC round, the APDS was very inaccurate, especially at long ranges.
The APDS became available for combat use in September of 1944 in small quantities and the majority of the APDS rounds went to Royal Artillery Anti-Tank Regiments. Reports also showed that tank crews that were supplied with the APDS (if a tank carried them, it was no more than 5 to 10 rounds) often wasted them on targets that the APCBC round would have destroyed in a single round. Against the Panther frontal armor, the APDS effectiveness was minimul due to the sloped armor of the Panther, which was confirmed at the trials at Isigny in August of 1944.
Basically, the APDS would not bring anything new to the game nor make it any more effective than the current AP round that are used by the Firefly in this game.
School is dismissed.
