Requesting the P-38 fixed
« on: September 11, 2009, 01:29:12 PM »
well, it's not broken but I'm pretty sure everyone else in the P-38 community would love to see it's landing gear animation fixed. I did a comparison to the P-51D & B-25C landing gear animation which flows smoothly compared to the current P-38 ( all models ) swift landing gear animation.

Here's the films for all to view and see where I'm coming from. The films are very short, about 15 seconds per clip:

B-25C's landing gear clip:

P-51D landing gear clip:

P-38J Landing gear clip ( don't mind the bombs, secret SAPP code  :noid ):

As you can see in B25 & P51 films the landing gear doors open, the gear smoothly retract and the doors close. In the P-38 film the doors and gear are retracting simultaneously. It's a pretty easy fix and i hope HTC gets around to smoothing it out for us bomber dweebs.  :noid

Landing gear? I thought they were take off skids like the 163. They are generally removed not long after takeoff...

Since I never see the wheels go up when I fly, honestly, I really don't care if this is fixed or not.

Actually...not really. Especially when they do that. It looks painful.

Hips and waist are more my thing.
