Darn good read there. Short ntes of the missions but the idea of the danger involved is very clear. Many planes lost to collisions, accidents and malfunctions as well as enemy action.

Great read. The last page is amazing, just a casual referance, sort of 'well y'know, got shot down and spent months on the run in occupied Europe, being hid and helped by the locals, having direct contact with the occupiers and avoiding capture. Whatcha gonna do?'

Its interesting to note that most of the demolition loads were comparable to AH2.
