Landing in bombers.
« on: September 14, 2009, 04:20:57 PM »
I landed to rearm my B25C's the other day, when i took off again with my single drone and landed again, i noticed that the bombers i have landed in the dirt to rearm counted as a death.

When you land in the dirt in a fighter you get a ditch, why not a bomber.

I don't think it would be hard to coad it so the bomber didn't blow up while on the ground but ditched, got captured,or got a sucessful landing but it would still blow up if you do radical maneuvers in the air.

Think this change could be made in the game?

Think the idea is to keep the drones flying with you untill you land and end your flight, other wise its a death.

It's only a "death" because you reupped.  If they were on the dirt and you ended sortie, it would have been a ditch.

MENTAL NOTE.........  You must land bombers correctly in order to land all 3.

I reupped for a reason, i didnt know my drone would die. But they were on the ground no damage, if i was in a fighter then it would have been a ditch.

Agreed 100%   Perhaps the answer to this dilemma is..... If both drones are on pavement, you get no "penalty" for reupping.

I reupped for a reason, i didnt know my drone would die. But they were on the ground no damage, if i was in a fighter then it would have been a ditch.

This was changed not that long ago you could take off with drones bomb come back rearm & your drones would just sit on the runway. You could continue on with one plane & come back & rearm again & the drones would still be sitting there.

I want to rearm all three bombers and return to the target with the three bombers without having to end sortie.

Normally they'd blow up because you'd get too far away.

I got an idea that might work.  switch to the plane that is on the ground, press enter 3 times that will make it count as a ditch then automatically send you the the first plane.  problem solved.

The easy answer is don't try to rearm bombers.

With the exception of FSO there really is no reason to.

For FSO I'm hoping we'll soon see the AI bombers taking over the majority of those dutys. Leaving us free for escort, sweep and cap.
