Very bad loading time

Whenever I alt-tab out of the game when I come back everything takes literally 5 minutes to load back. The fields are white, my map is white, leaving me unable to read it. Is this the norm now?

got almost the same thing, looks normal to me.
my takes about 30 seconds though

I think it depends on your system. It takes only a few seconds to reload on mine, but I have a pretty good system.

Well it's october now and I am still having this problem. I am running crappy vista so lets hope its that. But the signs are still there, white trees, white map, white fields, even white skins on other planes, whenever I alt-tab out or windows key out.

Vista isn't crappy, but the System it's running on probably is.   I have Vista Ultimate 64 Bit and regularly Windows key out to change Music.   When flying I have AH, WMP 11, FF 3.5 and ESET running.   No lag whatsoever.

I'm running Vista and after minimizing, it takes 5-10 seconds to come back to normal. 

System is only a dual core 2.1 Acer with a 9400GT 512, 2 gig ram.

Maybe I just got lucky... Doubt it though.

Do you have a lot of processes running in the background like chat program, internet explorer, itunes, etc?  When I alt tab out when I have lots running and come back in, it takes forever.  If I have closed out of all other programs and decide to alt tab out to surf web, close out of firefox, and then back in game, it's fine.
