Hey all. I just want to know what your best capture ever was. Be it with fighters all over the place, sneaking the goon in, or just dropping the troops a long way out and distract the tanks with your m3.
My best capture ever was a while back. I sneaked my goon into a de-acked port, cut my engine and glided her in. I landed nicely and rolled right on top of the map room, and let the boys run. A successful capture, all while a wirblewind was 400 feet from me looking the other direction 
when i was still in satans playmates.
i had just logged on, and was rolling a p38. rodent was calling repeatedly for a goon. it was the ONLY way to get troops in.
jg54 was defending the base.....it was 53 or somethign....it was a cv vs base battle. i called rodent, told him to try n keep the fight south of the field,...the town was on the northwest side of the base.
nearest base to up from was just baout a sector away.
i flew west skimming the waves, till i could see some of the battle going on. updated the guys of my location, and turned about 30 degrees to my north. crossed the coast so low i kicked up cartoon sand. climbed just enough to clear the trees, as i got north of the base, crossed the top of the mountain there.
as i crossed the top, i cut the engines, and glided down the hill, doing a forward slip, to keep my speed low. about a mile from the town, i strted getting flaps out. 1/2 mile, gear down, door open, drunks get their last beer, and their choice of a glazed donut, or an iced donut.
touched down about 1/8 of a mile north, and let her roll right up to the town, braking carefully, so the drunks didn't spill theirbeer all over my shiny c-47.
the plane comes to a halt, and as my squaddies are asking where the hell i'm at, the drunks are all sitting on their benches, suffering sugar rush.
we kicked them out, and the sugar kicked in...they ran like hell, as the battle raged just a 1/2 mile south of them. at one point, i though a 190 was going to spot them, but a squaddie dropped on him, forcing him to divert or die.
we got the base. it was pure luck though, as the defense was well coordinated, and determined. i actually didn't expect to make it in.
