Version 2.15
======================

Redesigned core game systems to quadruple the number of weapon hardpoints and damage items for future development and expansion.

Updated PT boat 3D shape.

Updated PT boat physics modeling.  It turns tighter and slows down faster.

All cannons and machine guns are the PT boat are now grouped together for use with the "fire all" function.

Updated ship, boat, and torpedo wakes.

Torpedo shapes are now visible in the water.

Added new joystick profiles for Saitek X52 and X52Pro joysticks.

Added new weapon shapes and slightly altered the layout of weapons in the hangar loadout selection.

PT boat is no longer downsized in the hangar.  This also fixed a bug that caused it to be extra shiny in the hangar.

If a configuration file in the settings folder is write protected, an error message will now appear in game when the write fails.

Changed the PT boat's engine start sound.

Changed turret rates on the Wirbelwind and Ostwind.

Ship shadows now appear correctly when the sun is low.

5" proximity shells no longer airburst over LVT's and PT boats.

Fixed a lighting issue on bullet holes.

Fixed a sorting error on the P-47D11 and D40.

Fixed a see through polygon on a water tower terrain object.

Cockpit texture of the Spitfire XIV is now visible at medium ranges.

Fixed some object errors with plants along the roads.

I have to admit that I didn't see this coming at all!  I think the proximity rounds should burst around the PT boats and LVT's, but what do I know...hehhee

keeping CVs out of PT spawns will be even more important now  :)

Whoa!  PT boats are going to be even more deadly. Yikes!

Not the spawns I'm worried about. It's the enemy CVs that bum rush you. Or, better yet, when you're trying to take a port, are landing LVTs, and the CV respawns. Sure, you whack it quick, but now the fleet itself has no defense from boats that each have the ability to sink the capital ships except sinking the whole fleet and putting up a CAP or just not landing troops on ports.

I don't use CVs much so I wouldn't know about that stuff, however,

If an enemy CV charges yours and launches PTs, they're putting themself at the same disadvantage goes as far at 5" proximity shells exploding over PTs/LVTs goes.

I'm talking a dead CV. A task group with no ships in it can still launch PTs and LVTs until it respawns 10 minutes after the CV goes down.

I'm rather hoping it means we're getting closer to a perked loadout system. :)

The new PT boat looks sweet!!!

The torpedoes look freaking awesome in the water, great exhaust effect.

Wake from the ships looks great too!

Pyro spoke of perked loadouts a few years ago as a future implementation. I hope this is what it is all about. The perk economy is whacked currently and adding the option to pay a little bit extra for historical, but uncommon/unorthodox loadouts would be sweet as hell...
