You're joking right?  You're not pleased with the Mossies, P-47s, Il-2s, B-25s, etc.?

OMG, why does everyone say, "well, we have 6-10 planes in this roll as opposed to the many fighters we have. I'd call it good...."

Why don't you walk over to their side of the argument to find out?

Because I know that the amount of good fighters outnumbers that of attackers similar to the B25H, or A20G, or the 110.

Then why bother asking if you don't really care to find out?

(sighs) I DO care to find out only I don't see any conviently placed "swich sides in argument" button poping up, and no one seems willing to tell me why they want fighters to greatly outnumber the amount of good attackers.

Umm...the P47 did do 'attack' work (A2G) and I highly doubt the Mossie was just a fighter.

B25H(/C?), A20G, Bf110, Il-2, P-47D-40/N, Typhoon, Tempest, Mossi, P-38, Fw190A5/A8, Fw190F, F4U IC, and
F4U ID.
Those are the planes I take attacking. Others my have different lists, or very similar lists.

P-51D, P47D-40/N, Fw190A8, Fw190D, C205, P-38, P-39, N1K2, F6F, La-7, Bf109G6, Bf109G14, Bf109K4, Yak9U, Spit14, Spit16, Seafire II, Typhoon, Ki-84, Ki-61, A6M5b, F4U IC, and F4U ID.

Those are the fighters I mostly use. I know some are on both list and NOT counting those bombers are 6, and fighter are 18. I  know some of you will use other planes as attackers, and others as fighter, but this is all just personal and what I would consider an attacker.

So what is your overall point? Why do we need a dedicated attack plane when there were multi role aircraft that did both? When I was active if my CO said "up heavy" I'd take a 234 automatically. More ord than most fighters, could take out 3 tanks or a VH, something that most fighters (ex Jug,Mossie) can't do (because they only have 2 bombs)

My point is that true, good attackers are somewhat limited. I would consider those the B25H, Bf110, Mossie, and the P-47. It seems to me that you can have strafiing power, or bombload over 2000lbs. Yes they are multi porpouse planes, but only a few are really great at it. A lot of planes can carry bombs, but it doesn't make them good attack planes. It seems like this would be a good addition. I'm not saying we need it first and foremost, but once we get updates for some planes and fill out some gaps in the plane set, then it's the top 10 (for me anyway).

Give me some reasons why we SHOULDN'T have it.

I had no denying of the fact that we should have it, I was just wondering why you wanted a dedicated attack plane for whatever reason.
Any plane can be multi purpose, hell, I can kill a VH or 3 GVs and kill 4-5 cons (a2a) in a single sortie with a 234, just need to learn the weakness and strengths of each plane.
