Roger USRanger  :). I'm learning very much already from it.

Yenny: Not sure I have much interest in armor. Cav Scout would be my ideal position, but wouldn't want to deal with tanks...

Cav Scout is usually an armor position. Anything w/ Cav in it, is usually armor guys =). Armor units tend to be a lot smaller. An Inf. platoon usually have 40+ soldier, where a cav scout plt or AT plt they have average 12-19 soldiers. Tank is not too bad, I spent a good amount of times on them. I spent a fair amount of time on all platform that we have in operation right now. My favorite is stryker though, just because it's so much smoother and roomie.

For armor officer, you're expected to do the inf. task and the armor task, so you're able to take charge of an armor unit or an INF. unit. Where INF officers can only take charge of the INF unit.

Ah yes I knew Cav Scout was in Armor.. I meant it would be my ideal position in that branch. Like I said before, INF will most likely be my first branch choice, followed by MP.  Just taking it one step at a time now though! I'll be sure to ask you about anything armor related Yen. :aok

An Armor Officer can handle pretty much all of the infantry operations and has to be trained to utilize Infantry as part of their normal procedures. The straight Infantry Officer can't say the same. Yenny gave you some good info there. Keep in mind that fast fluid operations are the meat and bread of the Armor / Cav / Mech Infantry folks.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
