x52 calibration setup
« on: September 19, 2009, 06:08:13 PM »
Is there like a trick to it? I cant get my x52 to calibrate for aces high. Using the ingame calibration does absolutely nothing. If I move stick left and right it moves the elevator, not the ailerons. If I go forwsrd and backwards lol I move ailerons. I fly many other games and have no issues period. Is x52 or saitek not supported here? I tried everything short of throwing the stick at the monitor. I may try that next though!

sounds like you need to map a profile for it in aces high...

You need to map your X52 in AH. Go to hightechcreations.com, click, support, help, "top right of page"

And then on the left find, configure a joystick or mouse

Did you find a fix?   I have a .jsm file I can give you.

I have a similar problem, but only after flying in Warbirds.   It was fine in Aces High in the beginning,  but now my  Saitek Rudder pedals will not center. The ball moves off to the right (left rudder),  the elevator goes up,   the airleron  rolls slightly to the right.  I can fly by applying pressure to counterbalance,   or    I can turn on  Combat Trim.   Turning on Combat trim seems to help,  but clearly this set up is not working normally.

I did reinstall the drivers,  and calibrated joystick inflight as well as looking at the x y z values

Any X52 Pro and pedal users out there?

My Stick is working fine again, not sure what I did to get it to behave.  Looked at the software config first,   even reinstalled the drivers.  Then went in game, and flew around (not sure if I calibrated in game this time) and it started flying fine.   Hope it stays fixed.

If I recall,if one ever unplugs their power supply,or turns it off," I THINK"..one has to run through the install hardware wizard everytime...

Check the ps2 cable that connects the throttle to the joystick.. sometimes one of the connections will get loose and cause intermittent goofiness like that...

I plug/unplug my joystick's usb connection all the time... even with the power on sometimes... and I have yet to ever have to reinstall anything.
