Colts won! Colts offense, was horrific for 2.5 quarters and brilliant 1.5 quarters. Colts defense was superb. Denver's defense was brilliant 2.5 quarters.

I figure Dallas will end up 8 and 8 for the season, behind Philly (11 and 5) and the Giants (10 and 6), with Philly winning the division.

I hope I am wrong, but I do not think Dallas can win the last four games.  The only chance they might have is if the Saints pull their first string to let them rest and not risk getting them hurt.

Dallas I think matches up quite well against the Saints And probably stands as the best chance to hand N.O. a defeat for the remainder of the regular season.
Lately the Saints are letting teams hang in the game who have no business being even close. Something which may end up comming back to bite them before all is said and done.

According to NFL.com

Dallas 11th scoring offense (8th rushing 7th passing)
N.O. 16th in points allowed ( 20th against the rush 22 against the pass)

N.O offense  1st in scoring (5th passing 3rd rushing)
Dallas 5th in points allowed (9th against he rush 20th against the pass)

If Dallas plays up to their ability. And N.O. continues their current trend. This could be a much closer game then most people think.

For the Saints to lose it wont matter, they have clinched the division and a first round bye, a loss would be a good thing for them mentally to keep their feet on the ground so to speak since its only happened once in NFL history that an undefeated team has won the superbowl.  A loss under their belt will keep things honest,  I just dont think they are that good to fill those shoes.

I would suspect they would play it safe at this point anyhow, injuries at this point will be critical, as you may know a Dallas player getting a bad stinger in tonight's game with the Chargers, this will certainly have an effect missing good players.

They lost tonight, they will need a win to hang on thats for sure.  This will probably be the deciding game for them.

What was up with the Cowboys today, too many missed opportunities, they should have won that game, at least they got that touchdown at the end, I had the Cowboys teased at +3 so it was a push, so saved me quite a bit.

Would be a damn shame if the seasons for either or both of these teams got screwed but for a court date

am I the only one who cant stand what has become of Football and Baseball?

it aint about the "game" it's about the money.

Would you like some cheese with that?

I don't understand this at all.

Is it about the players money? What would you have them do? Risk life and limb for less than the full value of what they can negotiate?

Is it about the sponsorship money? Recognize that any decrease in this will result in less coverage, merchandising, money to attract talent, etc - for it is really sponsorship money that drives the entire machine known as producing NFL games.

I just don't understand the objection. What do you want? Games for which no one pays or is paid? Events so poorly underwritten that output media is limited?

It sound like a bunch of mewling. If you like stuff done small, go hang around some piss-stinking gummint public school, where everything sucks and is devoid of wealth, talent, purpose, or excellence. If you want something that BLOWS YOU AWAY, accept that money's usually going to be a major part of it.

It's kind of like the Speed Merchant in Mad Max: Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?

I should add, just to credential myself a little, that while my day job is here at Ford Motor (Global Tools and Processes), I am also President of a 501(c)3 in Ann Arbor that produces the annual Ann Arbor City Tennis Tournament. We beg for sponsorship. The more we get in sponsorship, the more we expand our offering and our day-of-events services.

I have no sympathy for them, they get paid alot of money to play this game drug free, if they violate that and the team has to pay the price for it, so be it.  Maybe these owners/coaches will fire these players in the future and stop taking the risks on them.  Hold their feet to the fire.

I'm looking forward to the Colts/Broncos rematch in the playoffs (wishful thinking)...  That was a heck of a game by both teams.  Barring a few mistakes in play calling by Den, it could've been a really close one.

Go Broncos!

None of the players involved are accused of taking steroids.
I suggest you look into the entire nuts n bolts of this case before passing judgement

This about sums it up.

Minnesota and New Orleans fans have reason to cheer, but the recent blow struck against the NFL’s drug-testing program is nothing to celebrate.

In a move that greatly bolsters the Vikings and Saints defenses, four starting linemen — Minnesota’s Kevin and Pat Williams and New Orleans’ Charles Grant and Will Smith — are cleared to play this entire season. The quartet, along with ex-Saint and currently unsigned running back Deuce McAllister, had faced four-game suspensions following positive tests for a substance banned under the league’s steroid policy.

The decision was levied Tuesday by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after a Minnesota judge ruled that Pat and Kevin Williams could pursue having their tests disallowed through the state’s workplace laws. Such legal wrangling is expected to continue into 2010.

Grant, Smith and McAllister didn’t have that same option under Louisiana law. Goodell, though, tabled their suspensions because of “considerations of fairness, uniform application of our policies and competitive integrity.”

Unfortunately, “integrity” isn’t a word used much lately when it comes to the league’s drug-testing policy. In a statement, Goodell admitted legal wrangling with players and waning support from the NFL Players Association has created “needless uncertainty” for a program that needs all the help it can get.

During the Starcaps proceedings, the NFL’s contention that players are ultimately responsible for what substances they put in their bodies was repeatedly affirmed in court. Grant, Smith, McAllister, and both Pat and Kevin Williams tested positive last season for Bumetanide. The substance is found, but not listed, in an over-the-counter supplement called Starcaps. All five players claim to have taken Starcaps as a weight-loss aid. Bumetanide, though, is barred by the NFL because it also can serve as a masking agent for steroids.

Suspensions for banned supplement use are normally cut-and-dry. Even star players like Carolina’s Julius Peppers and San Diego’s Shawne Merriman weren’t immune when busted. But the Starcaps appeals process revealed some warts in the way the NFL does business.

The doctor who oversees the program didn’t specifically convey to players that Starcaps contained Bumetanide when the league received that information in 2006. Two federal court decisions upheld that Dr. John Lombardo didn’t violate any rules, but the situation has contributed to the union’s mistrust of the NFL’s program.

Believing a suspension under such circumstances was unjust, Pat and Kevin Williams hired independent attorneys to clear their names. The result: Discovery of a loophole so big that not even the vaunted 700-pound “Williams Wall” could plug it.

Go Broncos!

Denver's secondary defense was outstanding! Their quarterbacking was excellent. I'm not sure where they went wrong. Manning was strong out of the gate but really bogged down later, It was just awful for a while. Seemed the colts could run against Denver though. Next year, Denver will be tough!

Yeah, but Orton still sucks.
