If I was a fan of a team who had the chance of a perfect season and they just dismissed it with little thought of how its fans feel about it I'd be pissed. If they had never won a superbowl, I could see doing that. Superbowls are won every year by someone. Perfect seasons arent. Im not even a Colts fan and Im pissed. To me it just shows a lack of emotion, that to me makes the game what it is. Now what if they get knocked out in the 1st round?

hey it's a "rebuilding" year. I am thrilled we knocked off one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

Exactly what I was thinking too, I'd be really pissed at the team if I was a Colts fan.

Also those players are all competitors, especially Manning, I'm sure their not happy about the coach making them sit out almost half the game.  I could see it being fine with them if they had been winning the game by a large margin, but they were only up by 5 when the coach started benching starters.  I thought for sure as soon as the Jets took the lead that you would see Manning back in the game, but no, I can only imagine how upset Manning was sitting on the sidelines watching his chance at history slipping away.

Like Filth said, they've won Superbowls, and someone wins every year, in football the playoffs & Superbowl are single elimination games, every team can win on any given Sunday, but to have a winning streak like they were having, and a chance at going undefeated, and then to just throw it away, it was a chance at something that doesn't happen very often.

One other thing, if they were worried about players getting hurt, and willing to take a loss to prevent it, why didn't they just have Manning and the other starters they took out not play at all today?

Man looks like the Saints are just self imploding,,,,

That about sums it all up......

I am 100% sure its not the end of the storm, the panthers will surely have their way with them if they dont pick it up by next week.

Anyway,,,,,,,  Now where did I put that bag?..... :headscratch:

Wow, anyone watching this Colts game, I can't believe they gave up a chance at a perfect season to rest a few guys for a quarter & 1/2, and ended there regular season winning streak.  Colts fans have to be extremely upset with the coaching staff right now.

Go look at their forums. Not much nice said there.

They just quit! In the middle of the phreaking game. Then Manning left his helmet on as if he was going to come back in and he knew wouldn't. This is why I hate professional sports. I'd rather have watched a bunch of 6th graders giving it their all.

Oh btw, I got kicked off the Colts forums. First time getting kicked off any forum.  :rofl :rofl

I hope they do get knocked out in the first round.

BTW, Peyton was part of the ruse, he left his helmet on so fans would think he was coming back into the game.

Well he might have left it on to hear what plays were being called, and what the QB was saying.

That game was unreal, like I said when I saw Manning come out I thought, ok they have the lead, if they fall behind he'll be back, but when they lost the lead, especially because they lost it due to the QB fumble into the end zone, and he stayed out I was just in disbelief.  They really just turned on their fans, I guarantee just about every Colts fan, hell even if your just a football fan, wanted to see the Colts go for the undefeated season, and extend their regular season winning streak, I mean they were making football history.

Like I already said, if they had no plans on leaving their starters in the whole game, win or lose, they should have just left them out the entire game.

you jump off that bandwagon! :) Just 3 weeks ago everyone was saying how awesome they were and how good they played, when Dallas handed them their first loss only the real fans stuck with them.

:) stayed as long as I could but I still didn't pick them for the super bowl(I dont believe). Eagles will be hard to beat, and they have a Secondary that can stay with those recievers. Then you have the 2nd best pass rush in the league in the Vikings which is what dallas did to beat the saints. Eagles have a fast striking offense that can score at will, Vikings might come around but we'll see.

Dunno man, my black and gold faith is dwindling...I mean how do you blow a 17-0 lead...at home........to Tampa......kind of disappointing in my opinion. We better show the defense we had in week 1-8 next sunday vs the Panthers, else we might aswell give up our playoff spot.

Don't forget we killed the Bucs AT TAMPA 38-7 the last outing.
