New way to slow re-supply
« on: September 21, 2009, 06:58:24 PM »
I think we should have a train station at all the bases that are re supplied by train. If you blow the station, then they get no supplies from the train. If they get some from trucks too, then they still get whatever percentage the trucks are carrying.

As for the ship convoy thread, I think we should have it so you can destroy the docks the boats unload at. Would be a nice addition but really it would be usefull if we have it so the trucks and trains are directly linked to how much ord, or fuel, or whatever else they carry.

Tell me what you think.

A little though on the barges:

We could link Zones to ports and if you killed the ships at dock at the port then no more re-supply by barge.

I think what you are addressing might be covered if HTC goes away from the zone bases and back to the old way of strats affecting play.  But I do like the idea as it gives you more options when considering how to reduce a bases ability to recover/defend when its supply has been reduced.

Thanks kev. I'm starting to get fed up with destroying most of the factories, or destroying convoys doing almost nothing. But I thought of something. This would bring a whole new aspect into the game. You could either smash into a base, pray you take it and that they don't hit back if you fail, OR you could starve it. This would make it important to take more bases once you take the first base on another continent.

We could do to bases what Germany tried to do to England in WW2. It would make air suppiority over the supply routs nessecary along with having air supperiority over bases.

Yeah, I feel ya Nem.  what is the point of strats if they dont have an effect when destroyed/reduced?  Hopefully something will come of this.
