Widescreen Aces High 2 should work very well with this. No need for a matrox box anymore.

I'd certainly have to steal that if I were ever to get a setup.

And the price will be below 400 bucks too. Why did I give my 3rd monitor away, why?

A lot of the reviews are starting to trickle in and this card is now billed as the top single GPU card to be had, and by a fair margin over the GTX 285.

The Eyefinity multi-monitor ability is intriguing and a good video can be had in this link.

Quite curious how this would scale with Aces High.

It's not my forte, so I can't vouch for the validity of the opinions there, but I've been reading on the SoftTH and the WideScreenGaming forums that there are some issues with the 5800 cards that ATI hasn't been completely forthcoming about.  I was really excited about this card too, and I may still get it just for its brute power and Dx11 support.  However here's the disappointing stuff I've read:

1.  It won't natively support mixed size/mixed resolution gaming with its multiple monitor support. (if you have mixed monitors, you might still need something like SoftTH).

2.  Multiple screen support with Eyefinity will require DisplayPort capable monitors only, or purchasing DP/DVI adapters that are expensive.  (So don't throw out your TH2Gos)

3.  Buying 5800sX2 will *require* (as in, not be able to disable) the use of Crossfire.  (This wouldn't be an issue if you're buying only one, but dual cards will require Xfire.)

So if anyone's looking at these cards for multiscreen gaming, I'd just recommend reading some of the relevant forums to see what others have experienced.  The 5870 is going for about $400 at Amazon, btw.

Again, I don't know for sure that any of the above is true regarding multi-monitor support and Xfire.  Maybe some of you more in the know about such things can confirm it?  Just reporting on what I've read.

Actually, ATI/AMD has been very forthcoming about the requirements for Eyefinity.  Take a look at any of the reviews.  If any one of them does not mention the Displayport requirement, then I would question the credibility of the site, as ATI's own press release does mention it.

The monitors must all have the same resolution support is a bit of a no-brainer if you understand how ATI/AMD is approaching the multi-monitor support.

Not sure what you mean about the Xfire point.

All I need are those portrait mode monitors with the uniform frames... where can I get those?
