Better vehicle controls

Why not work it similar to racing games instead of trying to push the stick through the desk? In Grand Prix Legends you can have stick buttons shift gears, the throttle slider is the gas pedal, and the hat lets you look around. Same thing in NASCAR '99, only the hat doesn't allow you to look around. To me this makes better sense than shoving the stick through the desk because some P-51 wants to wipe you out with a 500-pound bomb.

BTW, 20mm AP ammo couldn't penetrate the armor of tanks. Neither could the 30mm AP. 30mm shells have a slow muzzle velocity, so they reach they're target at half the speed of a .50 cal round. 20mm and 30mm AP might be able to punch through the top armor, provided the angles match up right.

Yes, there is a 30mm gatling gun [GAU-8 Avenger] that can kill some armored vehicles at a mile, but that is a modern weapon. WW2 ammo wasn't up to the standards of AP ammunition now-a-days.

Flackbait, 20mm cannon DOES kill Panzers...you must be near convergence and hit them from the side or the aft side, but if you do it,and if you are near enough, they are doomed. Believe me, I've tried it and it works.

30mm cannon is ok with tanks, ina G10 yesterday I got 2 panzer kills with only 40 30mm rounds. Again, go for the side and aft side. Anyway one of the kills was from the front-left quarter, and the tank went boom.

Try it, it works.

Flakbait, the muzzle velocity of the MK 108 30mm gun was very low, but the MK 103 (not in this game yet) had a muzzle velocity superior to the .50 and 20mm weapons and could penetrate the armor of tanks from some angles.

Actually funked, the MK 103 has a muzzle velocity about equal to the M2 .50 and the Hispano/ShVAK 20mm, but obviously it fires much heavier shells(300g+).

A much better gun, the Soviet NS-37 could supposedly penetrate 40mm of armour at an angle of 40º. It used a 735g shell fired at 900m/s. Now where's the Il-2 and Yak-9T when you need them?

Back on Topic: Yep, the controls need fixin', or my joystick will get to breakin'. You can't rotate the tank hull when stationary by running the tracks in opposite directions either.

I got straffed by Typhoon, 38's and 190's all night long and died just about every sinlge time. Ask the Bishops attacking V38 last night
The halftrack goes up much easier than a Panzer too.
There's no problem at ALL with these vehicles being too tough. A bomb or on target rockets is a one way trip aback to the tower too for either.

Mk 108 30mm should be almost impossible to kill a tank with, low velocity HE shell only.

Don't forget guys that while it's only 20mm it's hitting along the top side of the tank. Less armor up there. I think it should not be easy buy definitly possible to strafe them, hell P-47's were doing it with .50 cal succesfully.
