Ok, seriously, when did the History Channel become Conspiracy Theory and Pseudo-Science Central?
There was a program on last night about a supposed Templar voyage to the Americas (not technically IMPOSSIBLE, seeing as how the Norse DID know America was there and Greenland was inhabited by their colonists up until the 14th Century) based on the Kensington Runestone. While the theory was certainly interesting, a LOT of information they purported to be "fact" was dubious or contrived, if not outright debunked by reputable historians (such as the St. Clair/Templar connection. Yeah, there was a connection. The St. Clairs testified AGAINST the order).
The only time it seems I want to turn it on any more is when they're running Band of Brothers. Everything else is sensationalist pop-culture garbage like UFO Hunters and MonsterQuest.
