Hey Skuzzy I did notice the lag has gone away, but the my frame rates and change do not make sense, I can be in the tower and have a frame rate of 39, up a plane at the same base and have a frame rate of 59. I was trying to post my dxdiag but when using photoshop or Imageshack my complete dxdiag cannot be shown. Is there a different way of getting the complete length posted.

Start -> Run -> DxDiag

Click the 'Save All Information' button

saves as a text file - copy maybe the top half of it and paste into a post

I think the lost frames and lags that we've been having the past week its just due to the maps having a lot of tree detail and not to the last update.  My frames shot up to no less than 50 and  mostly 59 once the "pacific" maps are out in this rotation.  at least that's how it seems on my computer.

Skuzzy can you take a look at this and tell me if I need to improve something to get my frame rates more stable.

What do you have running on that computer that requires so much swap/page file space?  It is 4 times higher than it should be.

The page file usage.  You can see it in real time in the Windows Task Manager under Performance (PF Usage).  At idle, your computer should only be using about 140MB of page file space, not 400+MB.

Boss, try a restart of your system first. As I read this thread, I looked at mine in task manager and it too was over 400+. But I leave my pc in standby for days on end without ever rebooting it. So I rebooted and it was down to about 280 page file  in task manager by just reboot. I since went into msconfig and turned off some things at startup like quicktime, office3.0, asus cpu manager, ect....and got it down to 182 so far.

I'm guessing that something sort of like what win98SE use to do when you open and close a program, it doesn't completely release all the resources that program used. So therefor your page file grows. I'm just speculating. So start with a reboot and then go from there and see what skuzzy recommends to get that PF down.

Just as a reference, my pc up stair that I use strictly for gaming has a page file of 166. I don't have anything on it but AH and ventrillo.
