.lastseen dot command
« on: September 30, 2009, 01:06:21 AM »
Simple, .lastseen CPID.  Would be nice to be able to see the last time a player logged in.

Why not have it work for everyone?  Something bad I didn't think about?

what if the player doesn't want anybody to know.  Privacy issue, may sound a stupid reason, but there's a million what ifs for not wanting people to know when u last logged inor how long you play the game.  which remind me does ah keep track of time/dates each one of has played for the last 3 years?  subpoena anybody?, from ex wife that wants to prove that u ignored her and the kids and now wants 10,000 a month for pain and suffering. ok an exaggeration but it could happen.

Well, we have a Find Player command, why not a Player Last Seen command, not much difference in privacy between those two IMO.

If the point is to check a squad member's activity, perhaps it should be available to the CO for checking squad members, and that's all.

I'd rather see something that measures time spent logged in to the arena idle in a tower or a hanger, along with an auto-kick after X idle minutes.

OK, just to clear up some confusion.  Much like the command we have now ".f player,"
You could use ".lastseen AnyPlayer."  The result could be, "AnyPlayer was last seen in LWOrange on September 26th, 16:40 EST."

Well given that a number of the Trainers Corp already fly as shades in the main due to being hunted or constantly bombarded with requests. NO, I don't think this is a good thing.

Thats not something anyone else needs to know.

HTC I'm sure can pull the logs in an appropriate situation.
