Diddla diddla!!
Freakin hysterical!!
Different strokes, I guess.
I can a appreciate ALOT of different types of guitar playing!!
I really can't say that I've ever called ANY talented guitar players music --"Diddla diddla"
Though I HAVE heard a few "Blues Nazis" use that phrase. ( A regional euphemism)--(probably)
Sooo--I guess your answer would be that you listened to alot of BB King during the Disco era?
Awesome---Great guitar player! Nice style!
Though I might add--not enough "Diddla diddla" for me.
I was born in '75 so thankfully I missed the Disco Era. Grew up listening to 50's rock and surf music.
I've worked for the last 12 years as a guitar player in Nashville. I've had people that I work with call me a talented guitar player, so now you can say you've heard a talented guitar player talk about diddla diddla.
I can appreciate the talent/skill/practice that it takes to be able to do that kind of stuff, I just don't like listening to it. To my ear it very quickly becomes just noise with all of the distortion and speed involved. Not a knock, just what my ear likes to here. For me guitar playing is about hitting someone in the chest with the emotion of the notes. So to that end I'd rather listen to BB King, Elmore James, SRV and the like. I guess that could make me one of your "blues nazis." But then when you look at how I also enjoy Scotty Moore, Carl Perkins and Brad Paisley it gets harder to pigeonhole me.
