Wanted: Bomber squads and escorts, and people that like to kill them

im looking to put something together in the AVA next wednesday night. as soon as i see what next weeks map will be, ill decide how to set it up. i want to call it BAM (Big Posterier(A**) Mission).

anyway im looking for bomber groups or guys that like to bomb, escorts and defenders.
the setup would run something like this:
bombers and escorts to take off and are assigned to bomb 1 or 2 targets.
defenders will also have a small bomber group to take off and bomb their own 1 or 2 targets
both sides will have to attack and defend at the same time.
this event would include both squads and individuals. the idea will be to have fun and have a large organized mission. anyone interested please leave me a note in the AVA arena forum. thanks--

That's every night in the MW arena, so I'm told.   I hear the "banter in good fun", has migrated to there.

I would but im not good enough to be in the same arena as JG54.

its not about banter or being good enough, it's about having fun. just trying to put something together. seems alot of people like big missions so thats what I'm working on.

This is the scenario I was referring to Jaeger1, it was Operation Argument (Big Week).  It was the Allied operation to destroy the Luftwaffe by launching massive attacks against the German aircraft industry.  I believe we have the proper plane set and I think the AvA has a Germany map that would be accurate for this type of mini-scenario.  You could have it run each Wednesday for a 5 week period (each Wednesday would represent a day of the 5 day air battle).

I like the intent,  and would be earlier to fly than the snapshots at 10pm, which is sometime difficult to be there for.

Wouldn't mind trying this as it's great practice

wow, that would be a awesome setup. it would be pretty realistic if i could get 90 bomber guys and about 30 escorts.
the rest could be luftwaffe defenders. it would be awesome!

That would be something that would have to be decided or you can rotate the map just on Wednesdays. 

Now for a little bit of Internet gaming trivia...

When AW was beta testing AW3, they ran the Big Week scenario and at the time it was the largest number of players online in a single arena for any game.  Not sure of the exact numbers but it was a couple of thousand.  That was something to see, wish I still had a screenshot of it.

In AirWarrior you really didn't need escorts as the guns in buffs were individually gunned by players, thus they were declared "DeathStars".  I still think that it was better than the auto gun solution and the formation of drones than we have here.
