Is this a joke? If not, is that website designer a moron?

I don't know about anyone else, but when I go to a web site that asks me to click on something before I even know what it's about, I'm gone.

No its not a joke but apparently they had some issues with the download engine. There is a fast access key that is allowing users to have access now (alledgedly) but I cant seem to locate it.

After you make a purchase of the P-38 the download engine emails the link out (incorrectly) but they are working on it now. I received an updated email with the proper link almost immediately.

Yes it was me before the release (which is today). I wish you flew FSX so you could give your opinion on this plane. It seems very nice to me but Im not really up on the 38. The sounds are amazing!  :D

I flew this P-38 a couple times so far today but unfortunately I've been spoiled by the A2A Accusim P-47 and it's absolute perfection. It's defiantly the best option P-38 option out there for FSX and looks beautiful. Being somewhat anal cockpit accuracy there are a few things that bug me, but your average normal person shouldn't be able to notice them. I did get a free YF-23 for one the first 50 people to download though.

Im taking the factory finish  up to see what she can do. The takeoff was uneventful and I didnt have to use any rudder but I chose stormy weather and in the gusts this thing is a hand full.

Doubtful, maybe they modeled it so tracers fire (like the IRIS A10) but you can't kill anything...though I simulate blowing up terrorist-hijacked planes in my Tomcat. :)

The guns need work though but Im not sure if its a problem with coding or a bug in FSX because the guns are firing from the propeller positions... but they do look the best I have seen in FSX.

I can get to 38072 feet with drop tanks on but thats it... the plane has good control and turns well even above 30k.

Aircraft fell apart at about the right speed.  :D

So you get a WW2 fighter in MS flight sim. What do you get to do with it other than fly to other airports or poke holes in the sky?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Well obviously its not for everyone. There are special occasions where historical flights are reenacted online using these planes like the Veterans Day P-51 flight just coming up next month and Im sure someone will come up with a P-38 flight now. Its not just like the real thing but it does occur on scale maps and what I enjoy about it is the ones that forget to manage their engines properly or select the proper fuel tanks... sort of like replacement pilots would do in the real world. It is entertaining at least that far. Also for the people on AH that like to make films there is a very energetic competition between authors on youtube using these planes but of course I am not that creative.
