Training Time Again
« on: October 04, 2009, 05:03:43 PM »
So I've begun to feel lately that it's time for me to get some work in with a trainer.  I feel like I lose merges needlessly a certain amount of time and I think I need general 1v1 work and maybe a little K4 specific work to boot.  I study films a lot and work to get better, but lately I've been feeling like I need to work with someone to get things down better and/or faster.  I feel like I'm beginning to understand nose to nose vs nose to tail turns, but only just beginning, so I need some work there too I think.  Truthfully, I probably need lots of work all around.  Any of you trainers feel like taking on an occasional student?

I'm not a 109k 'Experten' but maybe I can send someone your way that is very good in it.

Madda, you have one of the best attitudes I have seen within AH in a long time. I'd really like to see you start 'pwning' people in the 109K.  :devil

If it's any help at all, I am usually available after 8 central, but after 9:30 or so is better (helps keep the girlfriend ack off of me) and weekends are basically universally good for me.

Well Delirium offered to help you...
I think that's code for "take it to PMs to set up times".

Others you might want to ask:
Agent360's a pretty good K4 stick if you can track him down. Creton as well. Can't forget Hammer and Morfiend, two trainers with lots of time flying German iron.

I also like the K4, I fly it fairly often. I'm ok with ACM in it, but have some trouble with the tater. I don't like the views from the cockpit so I tend to take 190s to MA furballs where SA is of utmost importance.

I've asked around, hopefully someone can assist you.

I really don't feel comfortable in the 109k to train someone in it. As Clint Eastwood once said, "A man's gotta know his limitations."

If I was flying right now I'd love to help you more Madda. You have potential to be great in the k4. We've had some pretty good fights in the past but unfortunately I deleted all of my films. If you get the chance, I recommend fighting with and against some of my squadies. Sunsfan, Messiah, Agent, and KillnU. From what I remember of some of our fights before, I think the main thing was that you had the correct ideas on what to do, but just wasn't tight enough with your maneuvers. Stuff like dropping back down on the top of a rolling scissors and things like that.

I'm curious Scotch, what proportion of the Muppets fly the K4 as their main ride?

That I can think of....

Agent
Platano
Dutchie
Messiah
KillnU when he's not in the jr muppets (BK's)
Sunsfan
BillyD
Avaro/SkyChimp
Violater
Tec
Mazz
and myself.

A few of those aren't flying right now though. But that's 12 of 35ish.

I've had some good fights against Agent and Sunsfan before, but don't know that I've run up against Messiah or Agent before.  I'll keep my eyes out.  I really just want to improve in general as much as possible, and in the K4 specifically after that.  I fly other stuff but just keep coming back to it.

How come you're not flying right now?
